PTF Annual Members’ Meeting Report – 28th April 2026

The Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation (PTF) successfully conducted its Annual Members’ Meeting on 28th April 2026, bringing together members, guests, and stakeholders for an engaging and meaningful evening.
The event began with delegate registration, followed by a warm welcome address by Mr. P. Ganesan, setting a positive tone for the session. Mr. D.V. Venkatagiri delivered the theme address, highlighting the foundation’s vision and ongoing initiatives.
One of the key highlights was the release of the PTF Annual Report, along with the presentation of souvenirs to special guests. This was followed by a presentation showcasing PTF’s activities through videos, giving attendees a clear picture of the foundation’s impact.
After a short tea break, the programme resumed with a thought-provoking skit by Vizhuthugal students on limiting mobile phone usage, which was well received by the audience. Subsequent sessions included special addresses, project presentations, and member discussions covering ISRB members, Valli Ambassadors, and Women Skill Development Center participants.
The session also featured insights on social service, youth skill development, and economic policies from distinguished speakers including academic and industry professionals. These talks added depth and perspective to the event, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and empowerment.
An interactive Q&A session allowed participants to engage directly, followed by a short personal sharing segment titled “Why did I study tailoring?”, which added a relatable and human touch to the evening.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Ganeswan, the National Anthem, and refreshments, leaving attendees with a sense of purpose and connection.
Overall, the meeting was well-structured, informative, and inspiring—reinforcing PTF’s commitment to social development and community upliftment.
A key highlight of the evening was the insightful address by Mr. Valavan Vasantha Siddhartha, Associate Director – Programme (South), Miracle Foundation India, Chennai. His speech on “Social Service Activities – Statistics & Economic Development Policies” shed light on the vast opportunities available for the younger generation in the social sector. He emphasized how data-driven approaches and structured policies can create meaningful impact, encouraging youth to actively participate in nation-building through informed and sustainable initiatives.
Adding a personal and inspiring dimension, Dr. M. Mathew Arumai, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, SRM IST, shared his past involvement with PTF and reflected on his journey in social service. His speech was both insightful and motivating, resonating with the audience as he highlighted the importance of consistent contribution, grassroots engagement, and the long-term impact of community-driven efforts.
